Reader followers who are more busy with the person of Angela Merkel, first female German Chancellor, will understand this. Especially if they also devour her biographies. Her daddy, with the surname he wore with the proud of a Western German inhabitant from 1930 on, namely went back to the East to live a harder life. Over there he earned less in DDR but could do masses more with his money. He was a Lutheran priest. Who knows if he had predicted this increase of wealth in his life, he would have stayed in the West.

Analphabetism as far as I know more occurs in Eastern than in Western European folks. Many among them complain that they have no house. To crack those in own country their enthousiasm must be too big as they hang out in Western European countries. There have been projects to give them their home in the past, but their is little trace about this in a city as e.g. Brussels, the capital of Belgium, today.
